The Town of Comox Parks Department is seeking quotations from qualified vendors for the supply and delivery of a Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV) Electric Truck suitable for municipal parks operations. The vehicle will be used for year-round maintenance and must be capable of handling light-duty tasks, including trail and parks maintenance, as well as winter sidewalk clearing.

Vehicle Requirements

Quotations must include a vehicle that meets or exceeds the following minimum specifications:

  • Hydraulic lift system
  • Minimum 1,500 lbs. capacity
  • Stake pockets with tie-down frame
• Cab Structure:
  • Fully enclosed aluminum cab
  • Weather-resistant design suitable for year-round outdoor use
  • Headache rack
• Battery System:
  • Long-range lithium-ion battery
  • Must support daily operational range suitable for parks maintenance
• Steering and Operation:
  • Power steering
  • Ergonomic operator controls
• Plow Attachment:
  • Front-mounted, hydraulic V-plow suitable for winter sidewalk clearing
  • Removable or retractable as needed
• Lighting and Safety:
  • Amber strobe light for visibility during operations
