216528 - Mariners Park Japanese Canadian Memorial and Memorial Wall Redevelopment Project

The City of Prince Rupert has been working with an architect, landscape architect, graphic designer and interpretive researcher to engage with the local and ex-pat Japanese Canadian community on the development of the Japanese Canadian memorial project as well as the removal and redevelopment of the memorial walls to those lost at sea and those who loved the sea in Mariners Park. These designs are now complete, inclusive of Site grading, landscaping, hardscaping, interpretive elements, lighting installation, signage and site demolition as required. Funding from both grant and City budget sources is also in place to proceed with both initiatives as per the design in the attached construction/IFT Package.
