NPP 1220-2025-3689S2 - City of Abbotsford – Works Management System (CMMS or EAM)
 
The City of Abbotsford is issuing a Notice of Planned Procurement to advise potential Suppliers that the City plans to conduct a procurement process for  City of Abbotsford – Works Management System (CMMS or EAM).
 
Procurement and implementation of a corporate CMMS is Stage 3 of the City of Abbotsford’s Asset Management Strategy, developed in 2021. Detailed practices and data assessments for each operations department at the City from 2023 to 2024 confirmed that a corporate WMS would help support staff in collecting and managing comparable, accessible, quality data, as well as help in the management and planning of operations and maintenance activities. A WMS Steering Committee has been established and a detailed business case was developed and presented to senior leadership. A third-party Project Advisor has been retained to provide guidance and advocacy on behalf of the City during project planning and implementation. Alongside the procurement process, City staff are moving forward with change management planning, data standards development, asset data improvements, maintenance planning, and IT preparations.
 
The successful Proponent will be provisioning and implementing a networked computer software, COTS (configurable off-the-shelf) Works Management System or Enterprise Asset Management Solution and any value-add opportunities and/or evolving technology trends (e.g. AI)
