Work Description:

Work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the removal and disposal of three 4-pile timber dolphins and supply and installation of five 508x12.7 mm steel pipe pile dolphins in Hospital Bay. The work generally consists of, but is not limited to the following items:

Mobilisation/Demobilisation

Remove and dispose of the three existing 4-pile timber dolphins complete with overhead timber beams and steel guywire to shore. The six pile wells in the floats shall be re-decked with timber planks as called for on the drawings.

Supply and install five new 508 OD x 12.7 mm steel pipe piles. It is expected that the piles shall be socketed or drilled into bedrock. The work includes supply of material and construction of new internal pile wells for the steel pipe dolphin piles as shown on the drawings.

Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules within the scope of work.

Site Visit:

Contractors are recommended to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work prior to submitting a tender for this work.

Delivery Date: The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completed by February 27, 2015.

Value of Project:

This project is estimated to cost between $90,000 and $100,000.00.
