--August 10, 2015, the GoA Graphic Design and Creative Services RFPQ #14-02 has been amended to reflect Alberta Treasury Board and Finance Directive #7/2014 that came into force April 1, 2015. Changes were mainly made to RFPQ terminology “Project Brief” and “Request for Design” or “RFD”, and section 3.1; and Appendix A definitions, “Project Brief” and “Request for Design” or “RFD”, clause 3, Schedule 1 - RFD Form, and addition of Schedule 5 – RFD Project Brief.
--March 3, 2015, the GoA Graphic Design and Creative Services RFPQ #14-02 has been amended to reflect our recent change of address.
RFPQ Description
The intent of this RFPQ is to create a Standing Offer List of Pre-qualified Vendors under contract who can provide expertise in graphic design and creative Services to support the Government of Alberta’s (GoA) visual communications efforts. Pre-qualified Vendors will be expected to create and produce items such as:
• Print/digital publications (e.g. annual reports, trade/consumer reports, newsletters);
• Print/digital collateral (e.g. brochures, mail-outs, cards, calendars);
• Event materials (e.g. display/event/promotional materials, signage, trade show exhibits, media materials); and
• Data/information components (e.g. charts, graphs, tables, infographics).
This is a non-exclusive opportunity as the Province may contract with more than one Vendor for the provision of these Services. In addition to the Public Affairs Bureau, each GoA Department, board, commission and agency, has the option, on an as required basis, to select from the successful Vendors, which Vendor(s) they wish to provide a particular service. The successful Vendor(s) will sign a Master Agreement in the form attached to this RFPQ and when the Department requires a Vendor to perform specific services, a Request for Design (RFD) will be completed by the Department and Vendor.
Vendors are invited to submit Proposals for the provision of the Services and Materials in accordance with the specifications and terms and conditions set out in this RFPQ.
The Services that the Province will require the Pre-qualified Vendors to perform will be of the following types:
• Graphic design including comprehensive black-and-white and/or colour layouts for client approval;
• Adaptation of revisions to existing designs;
• Electronic photo-cropping and photo-retouching, and scanning of original artwork for incorporating into layouts, and for provision of graphic files;
• Ability to produce artwork in digital format, for print and/or web-based adaptations, in a Macintosh environment using recognized professional graphic applications (e.g. Adobe, Quark) and arrange for print-ready file output;
• Ability to accept/process differing electronic file formats, including tagged PDFs;
• Producti n of final artwork in the required format; and
• Checking of printers proofs and on-press approvals, as specified by the client;
• Production of tagged PDFs.
