20TDRHFD801 - Footner Lake Primary Fire Base and Fort Vermilion Primary Fire Base Facility Rentals

The Footner Lake Primary Fire Base and the Fort Vermilion Primary Fire Base provides a forward staging area for firefighting resources, and are configured to support 56 and 60 personnel respectively with the facilities currently in place. Normal operational time periods for the bases are mid-April to mid-September (approximately 150 days) depending on hazards within the High Level Forest Area. On an average year these bases will exceed their capacities.

The High Level Forest Area requires a Contractor to supply a wash trailer consisting of shower and bathroom facilities for the extra staff housed at each base. Based on the High Level Forest Area’s hazards, it is anticipated that the contracted facilities will be required for May 1, 2019 to August 31, 2019 for the Fort Vermilion Primary Fire Base and July 8, 2019 to August 31, 2019 for the Footner Lake Primary Base with the possibility of extension.
