C0060-20 - Alberta Competitiveness Report 2020-2022

The Project’s main objective is to update and enhance the Alberta Competitiveness Report with an additional focus on measuring and analyzing Alberta’s ability to attract, retain, and expand investment. The Contractor will update and enhance the Alberta Competitiveness Report for each of 2020, 2021, and 2022 by providing the following key deliverable of the Project in accordance with the timetable in this RFP, which may be amended from time to time by the Province in its sole discretion:
i. Review and update existing indicators under each of the identified competitiveness factors with the latest available information and evaluate the progress of Alberta’s competitiveness annually;
ii. Expand the list of existing indicators with the pre-approval of the Project Team to improve the evaluation of Alberta’s competitiveness;
iii. Remove existing indicators that are no longer updated or no longer relevant in future reports with the pre-approval of the Project Team;
iv. Identify investment performance indicators that measure Alberta’s ability to attract, retain and expand investment, as well as benchmark and analyze the progress of Alberta’s investment attractions for each of 2020, 2021 and 2022;
v. Expand the list of indicators under the “Regulation” factor to evaluate Alberta’s regulatory environment as new sources of information become available;
vi. Evaluate existing benchmark jurisdictions and assess possible inclusion of jurisdictions deemed comparable and/or competitive to Alberta.
