Description

WorkSafeBC is looking to create a new contractor network of Driver Assessment and Rehabilitation Evaluation Services ("DARES") providers to (a) perform driver assessments for persons entitled to compensation under the Act ("Injured Worker(s)") to determine their fitness to operate a motor vehicle, and (b) provide driver education and rehabilitation services to Injured Workers located throughout British Columbia on an "if and as required" basis.

The DARES program includes an in-clinic and on-road assessment of an Injured Worker's skills and ability to operate a motor vehicle, and driver rehabilitation services in a dual controlled vehicle that may include assistive or adaptive technologies for Injured Workers with restricted mobility or other functional impairments.
