21TDRRSD820 - Little Bow and Women’s Coulee Systems Operator

The Provincially-owned Little Bow River and Women’s Coulee Water Supply Systems provide a secured water supply in the High River, Alberta area for municipal, industrial, domestic, livestock, and irrigation water users. These systems include major diversions from the Highwood River and include major fish exclusion structures that ensure fish are not diverted from the Highwood to the Little Bow basin. These mechanical systems are complex and sensitive, requiring care and attention to ensure that maintenance items are diligently implemented. Environment and Parks requires a Water Infrastructure Operator that is responsible for front-line operational service delivery working closely with AEP operations staff located in Calgary, AB. The contractor is required to make operational flow adjustments to gates and valves at the direction of the AEP contract manager, maintaining frequent lines of communication and also be available to respond to operational alarms from the remote monitoring system.
