20RFP91000001 - Travel Alberta vCIO Services

The successful vendor(s) will be working closely with senior leaders, leading Data and Technology strategies, the virtual CIO will assess Travel Alberta’s business environment and current technology infrastructure, and support the development of a 1 to 3-year enterprise technology roadmap to enable digital change.

Ongoing vCIO consulting services (daily/weekly as desired by Travel Alberta) is recommended to provide proactive oversight over technology governance, compliance, and risk management.

Current priorities and core responsibilities for this consultancy role are as follows:
• Implement the recommendations made by Office of Auditor General (OAG) as it relates to risk management and contract governance practices associated with cloud service providers.
• Develop Information Management policy and framework and supporting governance processes, including the education requirement and change management to adopt and deliver on the framework.
• Establish IT Governance structure, roles, and responsibilities to enable the business.
• Oversee and manage the corporation’s IT and Cloud risk management program.
• Review BCP, and technology DRP annually, make recommendations for changes based on enterprise risk management framework. Determine education requirements and change management to adopt and deliver on plan

• Engage with Board, Senior Leadership Team and Director, Data and Technology as necessary to provide enterprise technology education, awareness and thought leadership
