Time and date for RFP Closing is:
2:00:00 p.m. local time on July 31, 2020 (the “Bid Closing”)
1. The equipment to be provided, but is not necessarily limited to: one rear load garbage truck with one cart tipper mounted on the back as identified in more detail in Schedule “A” attached hereto (the “Equipment”)
2. The specifications and RFP package can be found on the APC website, or by emailing the Chief Administrative Officer for the Town, Christopher Robblee, at christopher@townofcastor.ca
3. The Successful RFPs shall be awarded a contract for the Equipment which will have a delivery date of November 2020.
4. All written inquiries regarding the technical aspects of the Equipment shall be emailed to tscastor@telus.net c/o Director of Public Works, Arjan van Hienen however the bidder(s) acknowledge(s) and agree(s) that the Town does not have an obligation to provide a response to any written inquiry and that it is in the sole and unfettered discretion of the Town to provide any written response to a written inquiry. Telephone inquiries will not be replied to.
5. Submission of a bid by a Bidder gives the Town the right to require the Bidder to execute the contract to perform the Equipment as set out within the documents. Bidders may not be withdrawn after the Closing and will be irrevocable and open for acceptance by the Town for a period of ninety (90) days following the end of the day of the Closing. The Successful Bidder will be notified in writing of the award of the RFP when the Town delivers a letter of intent to the Successful Bidder.

The Equipment consists of:
• Tandem axle
• 2017 or newer
• International or Freightliner
• Less than 50,000 km
• Less than 2,500 hrs
• Front axle weight 1800
• Rear axle weight 46,000
• Automatic transmission (ALSN3000)
• Diesel engine (Cummins)
• Tire size 315/80R225
• Colour preference: white Second option: red
• Cab seating to accommodate 3 people
• Equipped with beacon lights visible from the front and rear of the truck
• Equipped with a fire extinguisher
• Equipped with back up camera 3rd eye rear-view with colour monitor
• 25yd rear load compactor
• At minimum of one cart tipper mounted on the rear
• Broom and/or shovel holder
