Nova Scotia Community College invites Bids for the supply and install of the following trade packages for the Teaching Kitchen Renovation (Phase 2) at NSCC Strait Area Campus, Port Hawkesbury, NS;
1. FT2020-001-08985-71 Foodservice Equipment
SCOPE OF WORK
.1 To supply and install all material, labour and equipment to complete the Food Service Equipment work as per drawings and specifications. .2 Equipment is to come ready for all associated M&E hookups.
.3 All mechanical and electrical hookups are to be done by the appropriate trade.
.4 Trade to provide C&D dumpsters for their own work, including removal of material from site.
.5 To complete daily clean up of the site of all your materials.
.6 To coordinate with other trades and NSCC to maintain schedule for your work and others work.
.7 All lifting, hoisting, handling and storage of material is by this trade.
.8 All Shop drawings to be submitted for review within 1 week of award.
.9 To follow all safety procedures and provide all require documents as per NSCC’s and Lindsay’s safety policies and safety programs.
.10 Trade to provide required manpower to met or exceed the schedule. Schedule extensions will not be accepted unless it is due to unforeseen conditions. These will have to be agreed upon on the Trade, Lindsay’s and NSCC.
.11 Attend job site meeting when requested. Ensure that the representative who attends these site meetings has the authority to conduct business on behalf of the company they represent.
.12 This trade contractor is to provide a site foreman for this project who will act as the main point of contact for Lindsay Construction site personnel.
.13 Provide all necessary and required closeout documents to close out the job.
SITE ASSESSMENT
.1 Bidders shall become familiar with the project site and surrounding area before submitting a bid. Site tours can be arranged by contacting Lorne MacDonald, Facilities Manager, NSCC Strait Area Campus.
.2 Due to COVID provincial regulations regarding gathering size, no more than 7 bidders can participate in the meeting at one time.
.3 Attendees must maintain 6 foot separation from each other and wear appropriate PPE.
.4 NSCC will bear no responsibility or liability for inadequate PPE or best practices not being followed
