Description

The WCB is seeking a Contractor to complete a residential modification in Didsbury, Alberta as per the specifications and drawings contained in this IFB. The modifications will consist of:

• Supply and installation of all material and systems described herein to construct a 461 sq. ft. single storey wood frame and concrete basement building addition and an approximate 376 sq. ft. raised deck with metal railing.
• Modify the interior of the existing 761 sq. ft. home as indicated on the drawings to upgrade the interior to barrier free accessibility.
• Installation of all mechanical, electrical systems, and interior residential elevator in accordance with the requirements outlined on the drawings.
• Provide new concrete sidewalk and pad as per drawings.
• Reinstate existing sod disturbed by construction.
• Supply and install landscape rock where indicated on the drawings.
• Relocate existing barrier free lift at the rear to the location at the new deck.
• Remove exterior wall, soffit and fascia finish on home and replace with new as per drawings.
• Remove and replace asphalt roof shingles.
• Hazardous Material Abatement within existing structure.
• The intent of this project is to meet the “Alberta Barrier Free Design Guide, 2008: Design Basics for People Using Mobility Devices”.
