Description

Technical programmer/analyst services to support the on-going development of the department’s air quality forecast model (a.k.a., GEM-MACH) and tools to support the model. The model is a software package comprised of mathematical representations of the relevant dynamic, physical, and chemical processes that characterize the atmosphere. The model quantitatively links pollutant emissions to ambient concentrations of air pollutants in space and time and is used for scientific research and operations (e.g., forecasting the Air Quality Health Index). ECCC requires programmer/analyst resources to support the on-going development of the model and tools to support the model.
