Description

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Power Corporation (“SaskPower”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Coteau Creek Life Extension - Bulkhead Gate Hoist Upgrades, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “ Work”).

SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan.

This Contract includes the following scopes of Work for the Coteau Creek Hydroelectric Station:

• Refurbishment and modification of three (3) bulkhead gate hoists (Units 1, 2 and 3).
• Replacement of wire ropes for three (3) bulkhead gate hoists (Units 1, 2 and 3).

Replacement of electrical and controls for the three (3) bulkhead gate hoists (Units 1, 2 and 3).

There will be an Optional Site Meeting at the Coteau Creek Hydroelectric Station on February 16, 2022 @ 10:00 AM Central Standard Time.

Confirmation of the number of attendees is required to be sent to the RFP Contact no later than February 11, 2022 by 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. If confirmation of attendance is not received by the RFP Contact on or before this date and time, attendees may not be allowed on site.

Those that wish to attend, we will be providing high angle rescue so that bidders are able to go up on the bridge. However, each person shall bring their own harness and have completed fall arrest training.
RSVP for access to bridge is needed no later than February 11, 2022, by 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.

PPE is required including CSA approved hi-vis clothing, safety glasses, hard hat, and safety footwear. Confirmed attendees will be advised of any additional requirements they must comply with to access the site.

It is highly recommended that proponents attend this site meeting.

Any changes to this Site Meeting will be communicated via Merx.

This opportunity is restricted to suppliers who qualify as a New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA) Region Supplier.

This competition is available on MERX, and all amendments, addenda, clarifications, and further instructions will also be posted on MERX.

Both a Microsoft Word and an Adobe PDF version of the RFP and Appendix C - Agreement are provided. If there is any inconsistency or discrepancy between the Word version and the PDF version of this RFP and Appendix C - Agreement, the PDF version shall prevail.
