This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Power Corporation (“SaskPower”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of the GL7 PH 2 – 72kV Line Replacement and Salvage as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “ Work”).

SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan.

Phase 2 includes the new construction of approximately 24.2 km of 138kV single circuit wood H-frame structures with Hawk conductor. The new construction will take place in a new right-of-way and will connect the phase 1 rebuild line segment (structure # 214) near Belbutte to structure #356 at the Spiritwood substation. The phase 2 segment is designed for a voltage of 138 kV but will be operated at 72 kV. The salvage portion of the Project consists of the salvage of the existing GL7 line structure #273 to structure #513A at the Spiritwood substation after the new line has been constructed and energized.
