Description

CreateTO seeks an architect and prime consultant (the “Architect”) to design and support the delivery of the Project through collaboration between the City of Toronto (the “City”), the City’s Environment and Climate Division, the City’s Housing Secretariat, and City Planning of the City. The Architect will lead the design and support the development of the Project with a focus on three key objectives:

Creating new housing units (both affordable and market units)
Implementing development grounded in sustainability and climate action
Ensuring construction that is cost-effective and efficient within the City

The project will demonstrate the viability of mass timber construction to the real estate industry, add a new approach to the City's affordable housing toolkit, and position the City to leverage future government funding opportunities.
