Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) invites offers from qualified Vendors for the Tank #2 Upgrades in Port aux Basques, NL.

The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal at Port aux Basques, Newfoundland and Labrador. The primary work area is within the Fuel Terminal Tank Farm located in a separate secure area north of the main ferry terminal facility.

The work includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Mobilization and demobilization, including all labor and equipment as specified and as required to carry out the work.
Supply and install foam chamber on Tank #2. Installation to be in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Replace piping bracket.
Corrosion on piping adjacent to foam chamber requires sanding and painting.
Corrosion on rooftop piping/venting requires sanding and painting.
Course 1 and 2 locations where insulation pins were removed exhibit areas of exposed corrosion and continued environmental degradation. Any bare metal areas shall be cleaned and coated with primer to limit further atmospheric corrosion. Product is specified as AMERLOCK® 2 epoxy and should be applied in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions

Submittals:

Preparation, submission, and implementation of an approved Construction Schedule.
Preparation, submission, and implementation of an approved Site-Specific Safety Plan.
Preparation, submission, and implementation of an approved Site-Specific Environmental Protection Plan.
Preparation and submission of a Project Execution Methodology.

Marine Atlantic reserves the right to accept tenders in whole or in part. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

A site visit will be held on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, at 2:00 PM Newfoundland Time at the site in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland.

The closing for receipt of tenders will be 2:00PM Atlantic Time, July 24th, 2025.

Proposals must be submitted by electronic means using the MERX EBS.

This will be the only method of response accepted for consideration. Proposals will not be considered if submitted by fax, email, or other open forms of communication. Proposals must be received by the closing date and hour. Late proposals will not be considered.

Amélioration du réservoir no 2

Marine Atlantique S.C.C. invite les fournisseurs qualifiés à présenter des offres pour assurer l’amélioration du réservoir no 2 à Port aux Basques (T.-N.-L.).

Le projet est situé au terminal de traversier de Marine Atlantique à Port aux Basques, Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador. La principale zone de travail se trouve dans le parc de réservoirs de carburant du terminal, situé dans une zone sécurisée distincte au nord de l’installation principale du terminal de traversier.

Les travaux comprennent, sans s’y limiter, les éléments suivants :

La mobilisation et la démobilisation, y compris toute la main-d’œuvre et l’équipement spécifiés et nécessaires à l’exécution des travaux.
La fourniture et l’installation d’une chambre à mousse sur le réservoir no 2. L’installation doit être conforme aux instructions du fabricant. La remise en place du bloc de couplage de tuyauterie.
Le sablage et la peinture de la tuyauterie adjacente à la chambre à mousse en raison de la corrosion.
Le sablage et la peinture de la tuyauterie et de l’aération des toits en raison de la corrosion.
Les emplacements des cours 1 et 2 où les tiges isolantes ont été enlevées présentent des zones de corrosion exposée et une dégradation environnementale continue. Toute zone de métal nu doit être nettoyée et recouverte d’une couche d’apprêt afin de limiter la corrosion atmosphérique. Le produit est spécifié en tant qu’époxy AMERLOCK® 2 et doit être appliqué conformément aux instructions du fabricant

Documents à soumettre :

Préparation, soumission et mise en œuvre d’un calendrier approuvé des travaux.
Préparation, soumission et mise en œuvre d’un plan de sécurité approuvé spécifique au site.
Préparation, soumission et mise en œuvre d’un plan de protection approuvé de l’environnement spécifique au site.
Préparation et soumission d’une méthodologie d’exécution du projet.

Marine Atlantique se réserve le droit d’accepter des offres en tout ou en partie. L’offre la plus basse ne sera pas nécessairement acceptée.

Une visite des lieux aura lieu le mardi 15 juillet 2025 à 14 h, heure de Terre-Neuve, sur le site de Port aux Basques (Terre-Neuve).

La date limite de réception des offres est fixée au 24 juillet 2025 à 14 h, heure de l’Atlantique.

Les propositions doivent être soumises au moyen de la fonction de soumission électronique de MERX.

Il s’agit de la seule méthode de réponse acceptée. Les propositions ne seront pas prises en considération si elles sont soumises par télécopie, par courriel ou par d’autres formes ouvertes de communication. Les propositions doivent être reçues avant la date et l’heure de clôture. Les propositions reçues après le délai ne seront pas prises en considération.
