The Peace-Athabasca Delta Institute (PADI), an Indigenous-led knowledge centre that works to ensure the restoration, protection and promotion of the ecological health and cultural integrity in the Peace Athabasca Delta and its people, is in the process of developing a Knowledge Hub where information relating to the Peace-Athabasca Delta (PAD) and data from science-based and Indigenous Knowledge sources will be made more easily accessible.
The Knowledge Hub will support the hosting, communication, and application of numerous forms of information in support of conservation actions taking place in the Delta region and will act as a centralized information portal to that can be accessed and utilized by researchers, governments, organizations, and community. It will be owned and managed by the Peace Athabasca Delta Institute.
To advance the development of the Knowledge Hub, the PADI seeks the support of a consultant or consulting team in planning and executing research activities, to take place over three phases from July 2022 – January 2023:
- Phase 1: Stakeholder Engagement
- Phase 2: Review of Existing Data Management and Software Systems
- Phase 3: Operational Model Development
