Description

The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a software solution to confirm the geometric accuracy and alignment of radiation therapy linear accelerators. The software should perform Multi Leaf Collimator, Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy, and isocentrer alignment quality assurance tests based on test images acquired using the linear accelerator’s electronic portal imaging device (EPID).
The Ottawa Hospital operates a comprehensive radiation medicine program, providing treatment to nearly 5000 cancer patients every year across two campuses. Major equipment includes 9 Elekta linear accelerators with Agility MLC, two Tomotherapy HD systems, and a Cyberknife. Other imaging equipment includes three Philips Brilliance Big Bore 16 CT Simulators and a Siemens Aera1.5 radiotherapy MR Simulator.
