UHN RFP1031b - The Supply of one (1) electrophysiology system and Five Years of Ext. Warranty

This RFP is being issued to obtain Proposals for the University Health Network (referred to as 'the Hospital' hereafter) for the supply and installation of a new electrophysiological system for a lab start-up at the Krembil Discovery Tower. Bidders should also provide warranty, the equipment’s standard manufacturer’s warranty PLUS extended warranty that would total (5) years for all products offered.

The pricing for the extended warranty, including all identified requirements including preventative maintenance, should be listed separately for each of the years.

The requested electrophysiological set-up will consist of :

1. 1.  an upright Microscope and complete system capable of performing patch-clamp electrophysiology experiments on cultured 2D cells and live tissue slices.
   2. A computer workstation and complete patch-clamp equipment for acquiring data and processing using appropriate software.
   3. The microscope will come with a CCD camera, DIC condenser & 40x objective, capable of perform fluorescent imaging
   4. Perfusion system, pipette puller and 2 fully motorized micromanipulators and stage
   5. The system must include an active anti-vibration table with Faraday cage to house all microscope and optical components
