CCH-001 - Camp Chief Hector Revitalization Project

Located in Kananaskis Country, on a 1,000-acre site surrounded by mountains, forests, open fields and glassy lakes, Camp Chief Hector emphasizes community and values-based education, outdoor challenge, fun, individual growth, environmental stewardship, leadership development and service excellence. Established in 1930, the camp has experienced significant growth.
Today, Camp Chief Hector serves more than 12,000 guests annually, offers 3 core program offerings, and is home to approximately 275 full-time, part-time and seasonal staff every year.
YMCA Calgary has developed a long-range development plan to guide activities at the site for the next 20 years. This plan identifies land uses as well as guiding principles to ensure Camp Chief Hector develops with the highest and best uses while still preserving the natural environment. A component of the plan is the redevelopment of the Out-Tripping Center (and the focus of this RFQ).
